Hezbollah announced that its fighters engaged Israeli forces attempting to advance into the southern Lebanese town of Kfartebnit, stating that the operation was a response to alleged ceasefire violations.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that Israeli forces would not withdraw from what he described as the “security zone” inside Lebanese territory.
The developments coincided with an announcement by Lebanon’s Ministry of Health that the death toll from Israeli military operations had reached 3,912 fatalities and 11,873 injuries since March.
