The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the lifting of the maritime blockade imposed on Iran in accordance with the terms of the memorandum of understanding that entered into force to end hostilities between the two sides.

The command stated that U.S. forces would remain deployed in the region during the next phase to monitor compliance with the agreement.
