Lebanon’s Ministry of Health announced that Israeli airstrikes carried out on Friday resulted in 83 deaths and 141 injuries, with most casualties reported in southern Lebanon and others in the eastern regions of the country.

The latest figures bring the total number of casualties since the beginning of the military campaign on March 2 to 4,057 deaths and more than 12,000 injuries.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the government had instructed its military to halt operations in Lebanon while maintaining forces in areas occupied during recent months.
