Iranian media reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had imposed restrictions on maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz in response to escalating regional developments.
However, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that there was no evidence indicating that the strategic waterway had been closed.
The developments come amid international anticipation surrounding the resumption of U.S.-Iran negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement within 60 days, covering Iran’s nuclear program, sanctions, frozen assets, and guarantees for regional de-escalation.
