Canada secured a place in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating South Africa 1-0 in the Round of 32.

The Canadian side scored the match’s only goal to book its place in the next stage, extending its campaign in the tournament co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Canada will face the winner of the Round of 32 match between the Netherlands and Morocco, scheduled for June 30.
