The Yemeni army said Monday that it detected the launch of two ballistic missiles by the Houthi group toward the city of Mokha in southwestern Yemen and the Red Sea.
The Taiz Military Axis said the two missiles were launched from an area under Houthi control east of Taiz, with no reports of casualties or material damage.
The group did not immediately comment on the announcement. The development came a day after government-aligned National Resistance Forces said they had targeted the city of Mokha with seven drones.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights warned of escalating hostilities and the possibility of Yemen returning to a full-scale conflict.
