Algeria Enters Electoral Silence Ahead of Parliamentary Elections

Algeria entered the electoral silence period on Monday ahead of parliamentary elections scheduled for Thursday, as voting began for nomadic communities through mobile polling stations.

The 21-day election campaign officially concluded, while authorities deployed 134 mobile polling stations across 15 desert and border provinces.

Nearly 10,000 candidates are competing for 407 seats in the People’s National Assembly.
