Finance ministers from the Group of Seven nations opened meetings in Paris to discuss the repercussions of the conflict in the Middle East on the global economy.
French Economy Minister Roland Lescure said the discussions would focus on energy, supply chains, and rare earth elements, in addition to the effects of geopolitical tensions on international markets.
The meetings come just weeks ahead of the upcoming G7 summit in the French city of Évian, amid growing concerns over a wider military escalation in the region.
