IAEA Calls on Iran to Disclose Enriched Uranium Stockpile

The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted a resolution calling on Iran to disclose its remaining stockpile of enriched uranium and grant the agency full authority to verify it.

The resolution passed with the support of 21 member states, while Russia, China, and Niger voted against it.

Iran’s mission to the IAEA described the decision as “politically motivated and unprofessional,” reiterating Tehran’s commitment to its nuclear rights.

The resolution is expected to complicate further ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States over the nuclear program.
