Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister announced the conclusion of technical talks with the United States as part of the negotiations underway in Switzerland, mediated by Qatar and Pakistan, aimed at ending the war, according to official media reports on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
The Iranian state news agency reported that Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister and head of Iran’s technical negotiating team, confirmed the conclusion of discussions among the four parties and the agreement on a framework for future negotiations.
The agency added that the participants also agreed to establish four working groups focusing on sanctions relief, nuclear affairs, reconstruction and economic development, as well as monitoring and implementation mechanisms.
The move is seen as laying the groundwork for a new phase of negotiations by creating structured channels to address the key issues under discussion.
