Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, said the country’s nuclear program is “absolutely non-negotiable” ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping‘s visit to Pyongyang.
Kim stated that North Korea‘s status as a nuclear power is “absolutely non-negotiable” and warned that the country would not tolerate any threats.
Although she officially serves as director of public affairs for the Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim is widely regarded as a key figure in the country’s foreign policy and public messaging.
Her comments come amid continued international concerns over North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.
