MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world’s largest container shipping company, has announced the launch of a new shipping line connecting European ports to the Middle East via Saudi Arabia, reflecting shifting maritime trade routes in the region.

In a statement posted on the X platform, the company said the new service, named the “Express Line” (Europe – Red Sea – Middle East), aims to meet growing demand for shipping services between Europe and the Red Sea region amid what it described as “current conditions in the Middle East.”

MSC added that the new route will provide “reliable, efficient, and competitive” connections, improving transit times and offering flexible solutions for different types of cargo, as global supply chains continue to adapt to ongoing maritime disruptions.
