One person was killed, and eight others were injured, some critically, following an explosion at grain silos in the town of Kafr Buhum in southern Hama province, central Syria.

Medical sources reported that firefighting and civil defense teams rushed to the scene to contain the blaze and evacuate the injured to nearby hospitals.

Authorities have not yet announced the cause of the explosion, while investigations remain underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
