Ukraine was hit by one of the largest Russian aerial attacks since the start of the war, involving 232 drones launched in a single night, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Ukraine’s air defenses reported intercepting 217 of the drones, while the most significant damage and casualties were recorded in the southern cities of Odesa and Zaporizhzhia.
In a related development, the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the Ukrainian Navy confirmed that a Turkish-owned cargo vessel flying the flag of Vanuatu was struck by a Russian drone in the Black Sea while sailing from the port of Odesa.
The incident caused material damage to the ship and left two Turkish sailors with minor injuries.
