Algeria’s women’s national team reached the semi-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after defeating Côte d’Ivoire 2-1, securing a place at the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil for the first time in its history.
Côte d’Ivoire took the lead through Inès Konan in the 29th minute, before Inès Khiri equalized for Algeria in the 58th minute.
Amira Ouled Braham then scored the winning goal in the 64th minute after Côte d’Ivoire missed a penalty, sending Algeria into a semi-final clash with the winner of Ghana and Malawi.
