Parts of northwestern Syria were hit by a 4.3-magnitude earthquake early Sunday, according to the National Earthquake Center.

The tremor occurred at 3:42 a.m. local time, approximately 107 kilometers northwest of the city of Aleppo, within the Dead Sea Fault Zone.

The earthquake was felt by residents in several areas of northern Syria. No casualties or material damage had been reported so far.
