A senior Iranian official said Tehran had decided to shift from a defensive posture to a “full-scale offensive” if diplomatic efforts to end the war fail, stressing its readiness to take “difficult decisions and steps.”

The official said Iran would launch a military attack “at the right time and with precision” to break the US naval blockade if Washington failed to implement the provisions of the memorandum of understanding within a deadline set by Tehran.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed that a channel of communication exists with officials in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He called on Iran to surrender and threatened to bomb Oman if it “stands in the way” of US efforts regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
