Israeli Military Withholds Data on Psychologically Discharged Soldiers During Gaza War

The Israeli Defense Forces has refused to release full data regarding the number of soldiers discharged for psychological reasons during the war in Gaza, a move described as a violation of the Freedom of Information Law.

According to reports published by Haaretz, the military has been delaying responses to official requests submitted since June last year under the Freedom of Information Law, which sought detailed statistics on psychological discharge cases.

Despite the legal deadline of up to 120 days having passed, the army has only provided partial figures, mainly under pressure from legal petitions, amid growing criticism from senior officers over the lack of transparency in the disclosed data.
