A severe heatwave continues to affect India after hundreds of fish were found dead in Sanjay Lake in the capital, New Delhi, due to record-high temperatures.
Local teams were seen removing dead fish from the water amid speculation that low oxygen levels and rising water temperatures were behind the incident.
The Indian Meteorological Department warned that the extreme heat is expected to continue in Delhi and neighboring states over the coming days, raising concerns over worsening climate change impacts and recurring heatwaves across South Asia.
