Meetings of Sudanese anti-war groups that signed the “Declaration of Principles for Building a New Homeland” concluded in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, with the participation of political alliances, civil forces, and public figures.
The final statement reaffirmed commitment to a project based on freedom, peace, and justice, while calling for the formation of a broad civilian front to end the war and restore the path of the December Revolution.
Participants also rejected any settlement granting immunity to those involved in the conflict.
The meetings approved a roadmap that includes a temporary three-month ceasefire under local and international supervision, alongside political and military mechanisms to oversee implementation of the agreement.
