At least 28 people were killed and around 90 others injured in a bombing targeting a train carrying military personnel and their families in the city of Quetta in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province.
The banned Balochistan Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it carried out a suicide operation targeting the train near a military zone.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described the attack as a “bloody tragedy,” while authorities continue investigations into one of the deadliest attacks witnessed in the troubled region in recent months.
