Iranian media reported explosions near Bandar Abbas, Sirik, and Lavan Island in Hormozgan Province, with air defense systems activated in several areas.

The developments coincided with Pakistan—described as having mediated between Washington and Tehran—calling on both sides to abide by the memorandum of understanding and exercise maximum restraint after a period of military escalation.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran over, threatening new strikes targeting infrastructure and raising the possibility of taking control of Kharg Oil Island.

The escalation pushed oil prices higher, with Brent crude rising 7.5% to nearly $80 per barrel, while U.S. crude gained 6.3% to above $74 per barrel, amid growing concerns over potential disruptions to global energy supplies.
