Iranian media denied reports suggesting that Tehran and Washington were close to signing an agreement in Geneva in the coming days, stating that draft texts remain under review.

The denial followed remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, who said a deal was near and could lead to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said maritime enforcement operations against Iran remain ongoing, noting that several vessels suspected of violating sanctions had been intercepted and disrupted.
