The White House on Tuesday firmly denied any intention to use nuclear weapons in Iran, responding directly to claims circulating on social media.
In a message posted on an official account on X, the White House stated: “Nothing the Vice President said here suggests that; you clowns.”
The statement came in response to a post linked to an account associated with former Vice President Kamala Harris, which shared a video of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance during his visit to Budapest, accompanied by a caption suggesting his remarks hinted at possible nuclear use.
The post drew connections between Vance’s comments and earlier statements by President Donald Trump, in which he warned that “an entire civilization could die,” sparking speculation about potential escalation in U.S. military posture.
